Don’t Be Strong — Be Scout Strong

A Scout who always does his best to keep himself physically strong knows that physical fitness is a journey, not a destination.

Here’s your chance to earn some rewards along the way.

The SCOUTStrong Presidential Active Lifestyle Award Challenge awards Scouts who spend 60 minutes a day for five days a week for a total of six weeks engaged in some kind of physical activity.

The physical activity can be almost anything. In addition to obvious activities such as exercising, jogging and biking, you can also count chores like mowing the lawn and gardening, sports such as basketball and football, and Scout activities like backpacking and canoeing.

You’ll need to log your activities either online or on paper, then you’ll be eligible for a certificate and patch.

Our Troop is using the challenge as a community building summer-long event. It’s also a great opportunity for Scouts to begin work on their Personal Fitness Merit Badge! We’ll be celebrating with a healthy family BBQ in August!
