Report to the Nation

Nine youth from across the country are in Washington, D.C., right now representing the Boy Scouts of America at the annual Report to the Nation.

Their job is to communicate to Congress the BSA’s top achievements from 2011. Among other things, they’ll discuss the BSA’s new national theme, Prepared For Life, and how it defines the BSA’s path under the pillars of learning, service, leadership and adventure.

Scouts across the country give more than 25 million hours of volunteer time annually while also learning the value of physical health, thanks to ScoutStrong, the BSA’s new initiative that challenges everyone to stay healthy in mind, body and spirit.

The Report to the Nation delegation is:

Venturing president Dan Carriveau from Little Chute, Wisc.; Boy Scout Jordan Evans from Colorado Springs, Colo.; Cub Scout Daniel Green from Silver Lake, Ohio; National Sea Scout boatswain Eva Hogan from Houston, Texas; Boy Scout Kauhikoa “Koa” Kalamau from Kapolei, Hawaii; Boy Scout Nicholas Kulick from Catharpin, Va.; Boy Scout R.J. McCullen III from El Paso, Texas; Boy Scout Jack Pape from Omaha, Neb.; and Order of the Arrow National Chief John Rehm from Turbotville, Pa.
