Rocket Bobsled

I honor of the last winter Olympic Games, this bobsled-styled car design was chosen as our first foray into the world of pinewood derby car building. Using a 5/8” steel bar turned on a lathe to form a rocket nozzle, allowed the center of mass to be concentrated in the rear, thus making this car unbeatable at the pack and regional levels. What a nice surprise for out first build!
