Southern copperhead

I noticed the snake a few feet from the trail on our Webelos Walkabout adventure. We were at the Houston Arboretum. One of the kids correctly identified it. It is one of the few venomous snakes we have to watch out for on our campouts here in Texas. Notice how you can even see its wagging tongue!
