    I use an old surplus ‘MOLLE’ pack. It is external frame and over-sized for a day hike and better for camping but consider that the only pack you have to ‘stuff’ full is one that is too small. It’s a little largr than the one in the video. I like it because it has a section that keeps my sleeping stuff separate and completely dry, and adding a gallon of water to the load is no problem in this large pack other than the weight of the water.
