Earning A 50-Miler Award On The Appalachian Trail
The Scouts of Troop 101 in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, recently earned their 50-miler awards by hiking one of the most famous trails in the country: The Appalachian Trail.
The boys spent five days and four nights on the trail, carrying all of their gear and food, and also performed a service project by removing invasive plants. Along their way, they passed the trail’s official midpoint market, signifying the exact halfway point between Maine and Georgia.
