BL Workshop In Action
Sometimes, those BL Workshop articles can take you places.
Back in January 2011, Boys’ Life printed a BL Workshop story on building a table out of twigs and branches. Gunnar and Eric Johansson, two Scouts from Smithtown, N.Y., took their homemade tables all the way to The Great New York State Fair.
In 2012, the table built by Gunnar, a Life Scout, earned a blue ribbon at the Delaware County fair and was selected to represent the county at the state fair. One year later, the table built by Eric, a First Class Scout, earned the same honors.
The boys built their tables from materials found on their grandparents’ farm in the Catskill Mountains of New York.
Nice work, guys!
