BSA Scouts in Japan Aid Tsunami Victims

Last month, the citizens of Japan were dealt a major disaster: a 9.0-magnitude earthquake that caused massive tsunami waves and resulted in more than 10,000 deaths.

BSA Troop 77, located in Iwakuni, Japan, is made up mostly of the sons of American Marines based on an Air Station close to Hiroshima, Japan. While they weren’t directly affected by the disaster, they rushed into action to do what they could do help the Japanese citizens.

The Scouts set up donation bins and collected clothing and other supplies and loaded them into trucks so that they could be delivered to the people who needed them.
