5 Cool “Scout-o-Lanterns” for Halloween
It’s Halloween season, and in our excitement, we went scouting to find the coolest pumpkins and Jack-o-Lanterns we could find that also showed a little Scouting pride. Check out the gallery of spooky pumpkins below and keep sending us pictures of your fantastic Den Meeting ideas, Pack activities, and adorable Cub Scouts. You know we love it. How about a painted pumpkin for your cute little Tiger Cub Scout? What’s great about this friendly little pumpkin is that not only does it make the spooky-ness of Halloween more approachable to younger children, but painting a face instead of carving one means no knives, and that means it’s extra safe! A fine Fleur de Lis. The BSA logo never looked so good in orange. We also love how the carving didn’t go all the way through the side of the pumpkin. That means this emblem of the Boy Scouts of America is going to glow bright for all to see. All this Pumpkin Cub Scout needs is a bag of Trails End popcorn! It’s amazing what a few props can do to a pumpkin with a face painted on it. Turning this squash into an extra member of the Pack! We can’t quite wrap our skulls around just how awesome this is. Also, big time props to the festive backdrop, that makes this Jack-O-Lantern a star on set! This Wolf Badge Pumpkin is so great, it’ll make all the Trick-or-Treaters howl. You can see the night time effect, here with the varying depth of carving into the pumpkin flesh, that make for different shades of lighting. Now imagine a whole porch full of Lions, Tigers, (Wolves), and Bears, OH MY!
