BSA Announces American Spirit Award Winner
Jack Pape, a 17-year-old Boy Scout from Omaha, Neb., will be honored with the American Spirit Award by the BSA and the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation.
The award recognizes individuals who demonstrate extraordinary skill, professionalism and a spirit of excellence in a challenging situation.
Pape will be recognized for his role in providing aid to Scouts who were injured during a tornado that struck Little Sioux Scout Ranch in Iowa in 2008, and for administering CPR to a boy who stopped breathing in a hotel swimming pool a year later.

And people think BSA is a bad organization for young men. This is a prime example of how the BSA is a great organization teaching young boys life skills and even better, First Aid training. Congrats Jack! You deserve it!
Congratulations Jack!
He should feel very honored
