Welding Merit Badge Requirements Released

Get ready to grab your safety mask and learn about slag and oxidation: the Welding merit badge is almost here.

You can begin working on your Welding merit badge at the end of February or possibly in early March, but you can familiarize yourself with the requirements now. Scouts who choose to pursue the Welding badge will learn about the safety and techniques of welding. Eventually, they’ll complete their own welding project.

Welding is an important part of our country’s growth and stability. A large portion of the U.S. economy depends on welders who can do quality work.
