Scout Buglers Headed to Arlington National Cemetery
Everybody knows “Taps,” the sad-sounding musical piece played at military funerals, usually on a bugle.
Eriq Thompson, 15, and Corey Clemetsen, 14, both from Troop 99 in Albany, Ore., know Taps so well that they’ll be traveling to Arlington National Cemetery next month to perform as part of Arlington Taps 150, the 150th anniversary of the song.
The Scouts are among the youngest of the musicians invited to participate in the event.
Check out their performance of Taps — on trumpet — below.
My best friend and fellow Eagle Scout Bradly is among the many at Arlington.
