Charleston, W.Va., Is Ready For Your Visit
The Summit, the BSA’s new national high-adventure base in West Virginia, will host the 2013 National Jamboree in just another couple of months before it opens as a full-time BSA high-adventure base in 2014.
It’s also right around the corner from Charleston, W.Va., and the Charleston Convention and Visitors Bureau wants you know that there’s plenty to do in that community as well.
Among the things to do while you’re in town for the jamboree:
Friday, July 12: Live on the Levee/Fireworks, 6 p.m. at Haddad Riverfront Park (Free)
Saturday, July 13: University of Charleston Movie Night (Free)
Sunday, July 14: Clay Center Scout Day (Admission Rates Apply)
Friday, July 19: Live on the Levee, 6:30 p.m. at Haddad Riverfront Park (Free); WV Power vs. Savannah Sand Gnats, 7:05 p.m. at Appalachian Power Park (Admission Rates Apply)
Saturday, July 20: WV Power vs. Kannapolis Intimidators, 7:05 p.m. at Appalachian Power Park (Admission Rates Apply)
