Colorado Scouts Keep Right On Climbing
The cover of the August 2013 issue of Boys’ Life magazine features a picture of Troop 88 from Parker, Colo., on their way to the summit of Grays Peak, one of 53 mountains in Colorado higher than 14,000 feet.
It’s a Troop 88 tradition to summit at least one 14,000-foot peak (called “14ers“) each summer, and Troop 88 is already at it again.
The troop recently climbed Mount Sherman, and they have the pictures to prove it. Some of the older, more experienced Scouts went on to summit two nearby peaks on the same day.
