Canoeing through Bowron Lake Provincial Park
Scouts from Troop 136 in Sacramento, Calif., took an eight-day canoe trek through Canada’s Bowron Lake Provincial Park last August.
The 70-plus-mile adventure through British Columbia featured lakes as smooth as glass and mountains that shot up from the water’s edge to the top of the sky. Bald eagles, loons, deer and moose were highlights of the trip.
Take a look at these spectacular photos of the trip and read more about the experience in the August 2014 issue of Boys’ Life magazine.
We canoed the circuit in July 2014. It was one of the hardest and rewarding things we have ever done.
