I began my PokeQuest with Chimchar, the fire monkey, and soon added a Geodude, Shinx and Shellos to my crew. Geodude, who evolves into Graveler and then Golem, is a rock/ground Pokemon who is impervious to electric attacks and stands up well against flying and fire Pokemon. His Magnitude attack wipes out all kinds of opponents, but he is useless against water and plant enemies.
Chimchar, the Diamond and Pearl answer to Charizard, is a cute monkey with a flaming tail. When he evolves into Infernape, his hairdo goes flaming, too. |
Hence, I also have Chimchar, who burns through plants. For fighting water Pokemon, I captured a Shinx, which evolved into a Luxio who evolved into a Luxray—a relatively competent electric Pokemon.
You should always strive to have the basics—fire, water, ground and electric—in your party. You can combine elements (Gyrados has fire and water, Infernape has fire and fight) but you need to cover your bases.
I generally do not carry ghost or psychic Pokemon. I know, there are a lot of you out there who will swear by Alakazam and Mewtwo. But you can teach Luxray Bite—a dark attack that wipes out psychic and ghost Pokemon in a hurry.
Get your water, electric, ground and fire attacks down pat, and you will have an answer for any situation.
Tips from Nintendo
In Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl, the way Moves affect opponents have changed. Physical Moves strike the opponent up close and use the Attack stat, where as Special Moves strike from afar and use the Special Attack stat. Knowing the difference between the two greatly improves your battle strategy.
Have your Pokemon learn moves that cover its weaknesses. For example, have a Fighting-type Pokemon learn a Ice-type or Dark-type move.
Pay attention to a Pokemon’s ability. Quite a few Pokemon have more than one available to them. A Pokemon’s ability like Levitate can make the difference in a battle.
If you have taught your Pokemon the wrong move, don’t fret! There are people in the Sinnoh that can help. Try looking for the Move Deleter or a Move Tutor. These are people who can help you with your troubles.

Yes, Giratina is in turnback cave, only accessible after defeating the elite four and regigigas is in the temple in snowpoint city which is blocked until after you defeat the elite four and have all of the other regis in your party

sorry about that. but the picture of the budew has to have two small hearts before it will evolve. Either way it will evolve and my suggestion is if you want it to learn rosaliers (is that how you spell it?)best move then lvl it up between lvl 13-16.

in diamonds battle tower i cant seem to win more than 6 times in a row. i mean1 win is 7 trainers so 7*6 is 42 wins. the problems is even though my pokemon types, attacks, stats and abilities are grate the pokemon of the battletower are too strong. e.g my charizard got one shotted from a porygon-z’s tri attack….

for budew to evolve you have to have a high friendship
they evole at level 22
to make a budew evolve you have to give it poffins/berries/pokebloks and not let it faint to much so it really likes u. theres a poketech app for home much a pokemon likes u dont know where to get it thuogh so to make a budew evolve make it realy like u then level it up a bit and wala!!! :-). Same when u want ur golbat to evolve into crobat

to get a arceus you must win 200 times at the battle tower. Then they will give you a azura flute go to spear pillar and play it a cave door will open and you can walk in arceus will be standing in the cave. Have fun with your battle!!!!!!!

Oh, and i only used cimchar/monferno/infernape in the game and i had no trouble.

To Giratina Finder:
The cave is easy to find you:
1 have a pokemon team above lv. 50 cause really strong pokemon are there. Also have one with rock climb.(and maybe defog, cause I forgot)
2 stay along the edge of the cliff till you see an area were rock climb is needed. go down it.
3 enter the cave!

well i beat the elite4 with my pokemon team i could give example a level 64 lucario make sure to raise his defense i could say is allright also with a level 53 any fire type with a level 54 weavile at least teach him good moves like ice beam x scissor cause you could use against medicham, girafaric, alakazam let me give you a warwing about lucian alakazam he has a move called focus blast so wacht out he if hit your weavile it could die in one hit.

U can get 999 master balls by using a cheat item called Action Replay. U can by it in a REAL LIFE store. U can’t get it in the game.
If u hav 10 of da same color shard, u can trade them sumwere and get stuff.
To get Giritina you go to the spring path. Surf across the lake and go into Turnback Cave.Follow some rooms and soon, if you do it right, you might find a surprise at the end. That surprise is Giritina. Don’t get all happy yet, you still have to catch it. Good luck!

tHIS IS TO RUBY RED. Tms and Hms are not ALWAYS GOOD BECAUSE There might be a pokemon that you capture that has a perfectly high attack stats but the Tm that you might have used is already used up so you can teach that pokemon a really good move(Giratina-Dragon Claw, etc.)

To beat the elite 4 i got 20 revives 20 Fullrestors 20 Maxrevives. The pokemon pokemon i had were Palkia LV.58, Infernape LV.50, Luxray LV. 53, Abomasnow LV.40, Pelipper LV.40, Garchomp LV.54 or 55. To beat the first of the elite 4 who has Bug pokemon, i used Infernape, Pelipper,and Abomasnow, Luxray For the second of the elite 4 who has ground and ground, water pokemon i used Palkia all the way. Oh…yeah…..yes… i had to restart my game i did not do this… i was forced to do this…..BEWARE!! if your a cheater (like me)..be careful on using the Action Replay DS.If you use a lot of cheats..like….Arceus lvl. 100 maxed out stats…if you use that cheat like….about 10 times your game might have a chance of corrupting.. thats what mine did and, i had to start from the beginning…it sucked….because i was really close on getting my full national pokedex now i have 479 in my national pokedex…so now im careful on how many cheats i use….

To transfer your mew you have to gain access to Pal Park then you can transfer 6 pokemon each day. (24 hours) or you can transfer any other pokemon..but you cannot transfer any pokemon with HM’S so remember that.

[Comment for Master Men] To get through Sunyshore you have to go up to Mt. Coronet. Battle your way through Team galactic, as well as the Galactic Commanders Mars, Jupiter and Saturn and their boss Cyrus. The quickest way to Mt. Coronet is Oreburgh City. Go west and you will end up in Mt. Coronet where you met Cyrus for the first time. At the other end of the entrance there is water path where you could not go before, because you did not have surf. If you cross it there will be a spot you could rock climb up. You will need the Hm: Strength, Surf, Rock Climb and maybe rock smash. Once you reach the top of Mt. Coronet dont forget to save after you defeat Cyrus if you plan to capture Dialga(Diamond) or Palkia(Pearl) the legendary deity of the game. Do not use your masterball. Dialga and Palkia has a 30% catch rate making pokeballs a snap for its capture. The two are by far the easiest legendary pokemon to catch in any pokemon versions. Your path to Sunnyshore is clear after you capture / defeat Dialga or Palkia.
No you do not need DS Lite necessarily for action replay. There is one for the original Ds
but when you buy one, make sure it is the right one for your ds.
Yes, Dialga and Palkia are the easiest legendary pokemon you could catch in the game. A pokeball would have a 30% chance on capture. I would advise you to save your Masterball for some other pokemon instead of Dialga or Palkia. You could probably catch it under 20 pokeballs if it is weakend and paralysis or asleep. (The other legendaries only have a 3% catch rate with a pokeball).
The last gym was easy, even for a water trainer like me. Just train Quagsire/Gastrodon/Swampert, Lanturn and Gyarados to cover for every type. Sorted for Ground and Grass, with some support against fellow water types. Plus, try and get a Quagsire with “water absorb” ability to make Surf awesome in double battles (water moves heal Quagsire instead of damaging it)

Another post for the honey trees… I would recommend these places: Pastoria City and Canalave city. The trees in Pastoria (South west) has a high appearance rate of Heracrosses and Burmys I have studied over months. I always find one everytime I tap on it… and Canalave (Entrance) i’ve been getting mainly aipoms and Munchlaxes. other than those Florama town, Valley windworks (Next to and north), Hearthome (South), Route 221, Veilstone (South) Sunyshore (Entrance) Solaceon (South) (North of the sandy slope) ( East of the tree where you passed the slope) are the places for honey trees… and I forgot to mention that you need an odd key stone for Spiritomb (Post for the other two)
Pokemon Manshion south of Hearthrome rare pokemon : Porygon, Chansey, Igglypuff, Clefairy and more… Its also identical to the old chateu the old manshion where you catch rotom at night from 10pm – 4am by watching the t.v. Spooky place… Gengar following you … watching you from a gargoyle statue… ghost butler… little ghost girl.. Gengar in the painting… gah that place is awesome. Except for the Gengar
The game pak with the most event pokemon I would say is Emerald.. It has Latios and Latias (Like in Ruby and Sapphire) and the choice for southern island. It has Deoxys like firered and leafgreen which ruby and sapphire does not have. It has Lugia and Ho-oh like firered and leafgreen too. However they added mew to Emerald which cannot be obtained in neither of the other game paks mentioned.. Jirachi from pokemon colosseum bonus disk, Celebi.. but thats only from an event and is not a obtained from a place in the game at all. Well… thats it I guess.
Yeah I agree Piplup was the best choice for a starter. It was strong against your rivals Turtwig once it evolved into prinplup and obtained a secondary type : Steel. ( Grass attacks are no longer super effective). It helped on the first two gyms ( Water attacks and the 2nd gym with flying attacks). The only trouble though was the 8th gym. Thats pretty much it. ( Dont know why but… the water starters for every pokemon game has always pulled for me. Squirtle, Totodile, Mudkip and Piplup were pretty awesome.

Spiritomb is obtained by using your explorer kit in your Key items to go underground Sinnoh. ( You can dig for Unlimited pokemon fossils –> Aerodactyl, Omantye, Kabuto, Lileep, Anorith, Cranidos ( Diamond only) and Shieldon (Pearl only). Spirittomb is obtained by talking to 32 people under there. ( Also note that there is an old man who lives in a house next to the pokemon center in Eterna City that gives you missions and items as rewards for completing his tasks. (Basically for Spiritomb have some friends play with you and talk to each other 32 times by chatting with the other person and going into your secret base and back out ( Due to the reason that talking to the same person twice or more will only count once to your (talked to another person limit). Treasures are the yellow specks on the map, traps are the white. Dont forget if you have fossils dont forget to use the option to put it in your items bag.
Here are the tree pokemon ( Burmy, Wurmple, Silcoon, Heracross, Munchlax, Cherubi, and Aipom. They are only obtainable in the honey trees for diamond and pearl. (Other than pal park for some of them) Honey can be bought for 100z in Florama town from the guy you saved from galactic. The honey trees are yellowish / brownish colored. When you slather honey on the trees you must leave it alone for apporximately 6 hours -10. Leaving it too long would result in losing the pokemon ( If you wait over the limit you may notice the trees wont shake). When a honey tree is shaking you will know there is a pokemon there. If you slather a tree and accidentaly tapped a on the tree too soon, the honey will be taken off the tree and you must reapply more.(If you notice that you remembered you slathered that tree but you come back 8 hours later and its not shaking).
Action Replay is basically used for cheating, like Gameshark for any particular games. They are sold in particular stores (Walmart , Gamestop (sometimes). for $20.00
It basically tricks the game, from knowing that its hacked (Especially for pokemon). When your catching an event pokemon, the game thinks your actually doing an event.
It is sold for both Gba and Ds games. Although it is not recommended that you cheat but… thats the owners choice I guess…

(Commonly missed pokemon for the national: Riolu ( Obtain from Canalave City talk to a sailor and he will bring you to iron island) Unknown (In the solaceon ruins, start from Solaceon town go to your right and down the slopes from the far right. (Dialga / Palkia) If you have Diamond you cant see Palkia in your pokedex and if you have Pearl you cant see Dialga, but after beating the pokemon league Cynthias grandmother in Celestic town will show you a picture of the one you did not obtain adding to your pokedex.
Darkrai cannot be obtained in the U.S. So far it is only obtainable in an event in Japan. Or by the surf glitch at the pokemon league (Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Japan versions) Or by cheating (Ar / GS) By using the walk anywhere cheat through the water from new moon island ( Where Cresselia is) to Full moon island ( Darkrai’s) by going all the way right.

And this is how you get DARKRAI. THis is one way of getting darkrai. To get darkrai, you have to have the ACTION REPLAY DS. You just use the walk anyware or run anyware, so yah.You must have 6 gym badges to do this. FIrst, you go to Canalave CIty and go across the bridge and go to the sailor guy. You go int the house, and talk to the boy. He mumers somthing about darkrai. THen the sailor comes and asks you if you can help them by going to Fullmoon island. THen, when he takes you there, then go in to a room and you will see CRESSELA. Yes, she is a legendary. BUt when you talk to her, then she will run away, just like MESPIRIT. THen, you go out of the room and keep going east/right and soon you’ll get to newmoon island. Don’t talk to the sailor ther, cause he’s gonna send you back to Canalave. Okay, so you see a room? Well go inside there and you’ll see DARKRAI. IF you don’t have the x999 masterballs code, then just use a lot of ultraballs, NOT GREAT OF POKEBALLS, and use Dusk balls. From a power standpoint infernape is the strongest, but the issue is natures. You usually wnat a nature that helps you with hurting at all, essentially something lowers the type of attack you dont use. But, in infernapes case there is no moveset that can do this with good moves, therefore by a technicality, it is not the strongest. Empoleon with a modest nature knowing the moves Ice Beam, Surf, Flash Cannon, and hydro cannon (as a last resort move) would be the strongest. Give it the item wiseglasses, quick claw, or wide lens to maximize this.

How to get Mesprit
After the events at the Spear Pillar, you can get the legendary trio.
Uxie and Azelf are like catching Diagla or Palkia, but Mesprit runs away.
Prof. Rowan will come and tell you to go get the marking map from the Poketch company in Jubilife City.
If you al least beat the fifth gym leader, the guy wearing a blue tux will give you a marking map.
It looks like a Berry finder, and you will see a face. Follow it and go find Mesprit.
Now, don’t use fly or Mesprit will zoom away.
If you’re lucky, you may confront Mesprit. However, after your move Mesprit will flee, so you better have a pokemon knowing Mean Look wit the speed at least 85 and Mesprit won’t be able to run. Go use Quick Balls, Ultra Balls and Great Balls.

It would be good for u 2 catch all 26 UNOWN in the Solaceon Ruins. The little kid that you talked to in the ruinns will give you Seals that look like the UNOWN you caught if you show it to him.

Hey heeeeman, to unlock Sunnyshore, you must defeat Dialga or Palkia at Spear Pillar at Mt.Coronet. The leader uses electric type pokemon, so try leveling up a rock type pokemon. ^-^

Heres my team: lugia lv.100, shaymin lv.100, darkrai lv.100, salamance lv.100, arceus lv.100, venasaur lv.100. My venasaur is the first pokemon I ever got ( 5 years ago) Ok now for some tips: to catch palkia you have to go through mt. cornet and to spear piller and there are some team galactic guys but dont worry your rival will team up with you. Heres there pokemon: Mars and jupiter fight: bronzor lv.41, golbatlv.42, purugly lv.45, bronzor lv.41, golbat lv.41, skuntank lv.46. Once you win you get fully healed aqnd then fight cyrus: honchcrow lv.45, gyrados lv.45, crobat lv.46, weavile lv.48. Then save your game and battle palkia or dialga (lv. 47). Hope that helps!

The three legendary pokemon: Arceus, Shaymin and Darkrai can not be obtained other than cheating or the nintendo mystery gift event. Arceus can be found in the Spear Pillar (Where you got Dialga or Palkia) only if you have obtained the Azure flute from an event or by action replay. Shaymin can be obtained only if you have Prof. Oak’s letter from an event or action replay (Prof Oak will tell you where Shaymin is (A flower garden). Darkrai can be obtained by the eon ticket from an event or action replay. It can also be obtained by a glitch but it is not recommended…
Dialga or Palkia can be found at the top of Mt. Coronet after you have defeat team galactic at veilstone and have freed the pokemon trio: Azelf, Mespirit and Uxie. The leader of Team Galactic will tell you he is going to Mt. Coronet where you two first met. He will summon either Dialga(If you have pokemon Diamond) or Palkia (If you have pokemon Pearl). Make sure you have visited the celestic ruins in celestic town first and have visited the celestic ruins. The pokemon league champion Cynthia will give you a parcel which you must deliver to her grandmother in exchange for the hm surf. Then go to Mt. Coronet when this is complete. The shortest way to Mt. Coronet is from Oreburgh City (east). You must have a pokemon that knows surf, rocksmash, strength and rockclimb. Dialga or Palkia will be on the very top of Mt. Coronet. You must battle your way there through Team galactic grunts, the commanders of galactic and the boss. After you defeat the boss, Professor Rowan will come in and tell you that you must catch or defeat Dialga or Palkia in order to calm it down. (This will resolve the blackout problem in sunyshore and after you have captured or defeated Dialga or Palkia) The legendary trio: Azelf, Mespirit and Uxie will be avaliable for capture that you freed from Veilstone. They will be in their respectful lakes. ( The three lakes you have visited).

hint hint if u dont know how to catch a pikachu or get an egg here is how- to get an egg u have to have 2 of the same pokemon one girl and one boy im not sure if they have to be on the same level but just incase do so. then leave them at the daycare in solaceon town then wait about 15 minutes an u get an egg but make sure u have enough room for it and before u get the egg u have talkto the dude out side of the daycare then he gives u the egg. to get a pikachu or pichu u have to go to trophy gaardens outside of i dunno but ya some were nere the middle/begining of ur trip do good luck and hope it helped 🙂
I’ve repeated this before in comments 89-90 but ok.. Sunyshore city is avaliable after you have gone to Mt. Coronet which is where you catch the legendary pokemon Dialga(Pokemon Diamond) or Palkia (Pokemon Pearl) you must defeat team galactic first before you can engage in battle. But make sure you’ve freed (Azelf, Uxie, and Mespirit) from the veilstone galactic headquarters first and that you have have gone to the celestic ruins in Celestic town ( Where you get hm surf). Shortest way to Mt. Coronet is going east from Oreburgh city. After you have gotten your 8th badge from Volkner you will receive the hm rockclimb you will also be granted the passage to the pokemon league which is blocked my the gym leader Jasmine from the johto region until you have earned the badge.

I’m using a Turtwig for my nuzlocke, but honestly any work well. Turtwig is great for your first gym, and has been pretty relible for me so far. Chim-char was my starter for my platnium nuzlocke, having a fire type is really useful, and Infernape has the highest base stats out of all the final evolution starters. Never used piplup but i’ve heard they can be useful, empoleon’s steel type might be useful later in the game for the ice-type gym
Before challenging Fantina you must go to the Celestic Ruins (they can be found in Celestic Town– look on your town map if you don’t know where that is), and a old lady will come in and talk to you. She’ll give you the HM for Surf then you can challenge Fantina.

The first time I played Pokemon Diamond I chose a Turtwig, and I won a lot of battles with it. But typically you can win a battle with any Pokemon, however Turtwig, Grotle, and Torterra’s moves are pretty powerful. For instance Razor Leaf. It’s keen. 13 or so razor sharp leaves go rushing at the foe! And that leaf storm, It’s power is 120! Jeez! Anyway, I’m not saying that Piplup and Chimchar are bad choices, because I’ve restarted the game a lot of times with Piplup or Chimchar, and they’re good too, I’m just saying if you can train a Turtwig to level 18 and then level 32 (I think), you’ll have the MIGHTY Torterra.

The Global Trade System or (GTS) can be accessed after you obtain the national dex it is at Oreburgh City. You have two options in GTS you may offer a pokemon ( lvls 1-100) and gender for a specific pokemon. You can use the GTS through Wi-fi if you have wireless internet or through a usp port and a computer. You can only offer one pokemon at a time and dont forget to take the items off of a pokemon your trading, if you want to keep the item such as: Exp. Share. ( Yeah.. I traded mines away on accident =.= but someone traded theirs to me =) ). Anyways.. Also the pokemon you can trade for has to be seen in your pokedex or has to be a pokemon you have already obtained. In reference, you can not trade for any pokemon in the GTS that is not in your pokedex. You could trade with a friend or if you have the pokemon you need from a gba pokemon game you already own then you can trade for it again Globally =) if you want to… Also be alert on trades… some people teach their pokemon hm moves.. so.. that messes up the pokemon + the eggs if you breed them. So.. the only way to delete hm’s is the move deleter..
To transfer pokemon from firered/leafgreen/ruby/sapphire/emerald you must go to pal park, which is a short surf from sandgem town and its at the end of route 221( Note: You must have the national dex and note that when you restart the game there will be a third option Nintendo Wfc Settings, click that before you talk to the pal park guy. You can insert your gba pokemon game at the gba slot located at the bottom of your ds. At pal park you may transfer only six pokemon at a time and note: When you transfer the pokemon from your gba game they can not be returned. You must then go into pal park and catch the six pokemon you transfered with six park balls. They are not in the same spot and if you transfered a water pokemon it might be in a pond instead of the grass.
To get the pokemon Heatran you must go to the fight area suggested by your rival at snowpoint city. There you must battle your way through the fight area, the resort area and to the survival area which is next to stark mt. ( Where Heatran is located). When you get there you must team up with buck and get to the core of the volcano to retrieve the treasure.( Where Heatran is later). Buck will escape with the gem. You must go out of Stark Mt. and talk to her again. Her house is in “The survival Area” right next to the pokemon center. When you talk to her she will put the gem back in Stark Mt. Now go back to where she got the gem at the core. There Heatran will appear and you may now battle it. Regigigas can be obtained only if you have: Regirock,Regice and Registeel in your pokemon slots. He is located in snowpoint temple in snowpoint city. You must trade in the poke center or the (Global Trade Station) in Oreburgh with other people to obtain them or have your own Regi’s from a pokemon ruby/sapphire/emerald game.
After you have completed your sinnoh dex go back to Professor Rowan in Sandgem town, professor Oak will be there on an errand and will update your pokedex to the national one. After the national dex you are able to catch the legendary pokemon Giratina in turnback cave south east of Veilstone city. Notice that there is a passage around the trees that were not there before you got the national dex.(Note: Bring a pokemon that knows rock smash and rock climb and maybe lots of ultra / dusk balls).
Cresellia can be found in Fullmoon island, in Canalave city, by going to the house next to the sailor which took you to iron island, go and talk to the mother and son of the sailor, and the option to fullmoon island is avaliable. ( Treat Cresellia just like Mespirit it will run away after you talk to it and you must find it).
To get the other Legendary pokemons you need to have the national pokedex which can be obtained by seeing all the pokemon of sinnoh (150). Which includes beating the pokemon league (Which has part of the missing pokemons in your sinnoh dex). Also note: That unowns can be found in solaceon ruins if you have forgot to go there and riolu (The pre-evolve form of Lucario) Can be obtained after your sixth badge in Canalave city there is a sailor there that will take you to iron island where you must double battle your way out of the island with Riley who will give you the egg ( Note: It does take a long time to hatch…) But if you have a fire pokemon in the first slot, you can reduce the time it will hatch. Make sure you have an empty pokemon slot to pick up the egg.
To get the legendary pokemon after Dialga(Diamond), Palkia(Pearl) <– from Mt. Coronet on the spear pillar and the legendary trio Azelf, Uxie and Mespirit from the three lakes (Lake acuity), (Lake Valor) and (Lake Verity) after you have freed them from the galactic Veilstone buildings first. You must surf to each of the lakes and talk to them to battle them (Note: They can be obtained before Dialga or Palkia). Dont forget to save before the battle in case you mess up. (Note: Mespirit is the only trio of the three that runs away after you talk to it, you must go find it in the grass. (You can use the poke tech given to you at oreburgh city to locate it. ( Dont forget to go back there to update it).
And also note that Mespirit flees in battle just like: Entei and Raikou from pokemon gold/silver/crystal and Latios/Latias from Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.(Make sure you have a pokemon that has mean lock or block. ( Golbat , Wobbuffet, or Bronzong).

Note: You can not battle the Hearthome City gym leader Until you have the first four badges ( She is the fifth gym leader) Gyms in order: 1st:Oreburgh City, 2nd:Eterna City, 3rd:Veilstone City, 4th:Pastoria City, 5th:Hearthome City, 6th: Canalave City, 7th: Snowpoint City, and 8th:Sunyshore City. You must skip Hearthome city first and come back to it after you have visited Celestic Town. Hope this helps.
Exp. Share is found in Eterna City before you cross over to the cycling road, there is a bridge connecting Eterna City to the cycling road ( South of Eterna city Gym), and one of Professor Rowan’s scientists is standing in a corner who, gives you the exp. share if you have seen 35 pokemon

To get to Eterna City after you obtained your first badge from Oreburgh City, you go through Floaroma Town and into the Eterna forest where you must partner up with a trainer, there you must defeat Grunts from Team galactic and escort her to the exit ( Note: Your partner heals all your pokemon after every battle except the first one) Then you go east to route 205 and end up in Eterna City (Also this is where the bike shops are, but you must defeat Team galactic and rescue the bike shop owner before he gives you one).
To get to sunnyshore you must first go up Mt. Coronet (Hint: Oreburgh City is the best way go east from there) and catch or defeat Dialga (Diamond) or Palkia (Pearl) before your eigth badge. After that the guy blocking the way to sunnyshore city will move.
The master ball can be obtained at the Veilstone Building in Veilstone City right after you defeat Cyrus, but you must first get the badge from snowpoint and go to lake acuity first.

They say you don’t need a ghost pokemon on your team and this is true but with a very strong Genar and a few powerful attacks such as dreamy eater and shadow ball it helps more than “covering all of your bases” my Gengar when it was at lv.55 was able to KO any other pokemon i had to face.

Eevee can be caught in the trophy garden; talk to the owner first and say yes to everything he asks you. This will make a new pokemon appear in the garden every time you do it.
You can only get Deoxys with cheats.
You SHOULD be able to transfer Zapdos; it doesn’t matter what moves it knows!!!
And Darkrai can only be found with a cheat.

To infernape, on a normal circumstance the action replay will not glitch or mess up your game. However, i have some friends who did glitch his game because he used thirty codes at one time when it said USE ONE ONLY. It is really helpful though.

Some say that Action Replays glitch your game and alter the screen color, some people say they don’t. If you use one, dont use too many cheats at a time, just to be safe, but a friend of mine who has one says that if the screen DOES get weird-looking, wlking in and then out of a pokecenter fixes it. I’ve used an action replay a couple times and nothing happened to my game. Sorry, i can’t answer the second question–i’m an American.

Nice tips. Heres one more to beat polkea or dialga. First get a pokemon with a super powerful ground move. (I used earthquake) i faced a level 51 polkea so i got lucky beating it with a lvl 53 tortera. How ever heres a move that polkea has (i dont know about dialga) Its called spacial rend watch out for this move for it is ultra powerful. This is the way you should beat it. It is probalbly faster then your pokemon like it was faster then mine. It will probably start by using spacial rend. Then i used earthquake. spacial rend took around a few less HP then half of mine thats why you need higher level. Then my earthquake took around half of polkeas thats why you need an ultra strong groung move like earthquake. Then Polkea used scacial rend i had like 3hp left then i used earthquake and took away the last half of polkea’s HP. Oh ya and your tips were awsome!
If you want to cacth all 150 pokemon in Diamond or Pearl, you want to cacth Comee and Burmy. You need honey. Go to Floaroroma Town by that place you got the Works Key. Slather honey on the tree by his house. Come Back 12 or 24 hours later and it MIGHT be there.

Burmy can be attracted to trees with honey, especially the tree in the feild of flowers behind Floraoma Town. Of course, you can always just trade for one, too. The international trade thingy is useful; i got my Burmy from some kid in Japan.

I’m pretty sure that the Azure Flute is what you use to get Arceus. As far as i know, it can only be obtained with a cheat. Kinda sucks, doesn’t it? I borrow a cheat thingy from a friend for stuff like that. Though i will admit i don’t have Arceus yet; for some reason, my friend is having trouble finding the cheat.

Yes, burmy are found in trees, most commonly in the one in the feild of flowers behind Floaroma Town. They are still rare even there, though.
In order to find pokemon in trees, you need to buy honey from the man in that feild and smear it on a tree. Wait a couple hours and you’ll find a bug pokemon there–the tree will be wiggling if there’s a pokemon in it. Oh, and you can only smear honey on some trees–the ones that are yellowish-orange.

Go to Pastoria City. Go south, until you get to the very last house. Enter ans talk to the older girl, and she’ll give you a berry you can’t find anywhere else! It’s a daily thing, so you can go back and get another tomorrow, too. I’ve gotten five new kinds of berries so far.

When i first started i had a chimchar he avolved into monferno at leval 22 the i caught aabra he wasnt really good igave him alot of hm”s thenicaught a shinks evolved him to a luxray than my freind traded me a dialaga egg and i rased that egg to become alevel 100 dialga i also thoughtabou agrotle or empoleon so my friend traded all her good pokemon to methen started over.
yeah, the action replay got me enough master balls to last me a few years o-o and my pokemon have leveled from 38 to 60 in about ten minutes. its really helpful, just be careful if you use it. it CAN glitch your game… if you use too many at a time.
but i suggest getting it if you want shaymin, arceus, darkrai and manaphy.

An Action Replay is something used for cheats–you put it into your DS, put the game into a slot in the Action Replay, turn the DS on and you can use cheats. It costs like 10-20(?) dollars and you can get it at most places that sell DS games. There are some pokemon you can only get using the cheats on an Action Replay.

Dear “desperate for help”:
Have you beaten Team Galactic at the mountain yet? After beating their leader on Mt. Coronet, you battle either Dialga or Palkia. If you got Palkia but want to get Dialga for your pokedex, you can always trade.
Bonsly can be found the Trophy Garden, and parts of Routes 209 and 210. This may only apply in Pearl or after you’ve beaten the Elite Four, though. Again, trading is always an option.
Misdreavus can be found in the uppermost section of Route 209 and in the south-west 3/4 of Eterna Forest, but only at night. Again, this may be only in Pearl or only after defeating the Elite Four.

Palkia is a water-type and Shaymin is a grass-type, and Arceus is every type, so your team is at least half-balanced. Manaphy is another water-type, Darkrai is dark-type, and Deoxys is a pschic-type, so that half of your team is unbalanced. Your team is very good, but for it to be completely balanced, you would have to replace Manaphy with a fighting-type pokemon.

It helps to walk, run, surf or bike in the direction Mesprit is in; it runs away much more often when you use fly to get closer to it. Get a pokemon that knows Mean Look, and when you finally DO catch up with it, USE MEAN LOOK!!! Make sure you have plenty of pokeballs with you. I’m still trying to catch it too.

I got my Gible by using the international trading place. Make sure you put somehting good up for trade, though!!! People are reluctant to trade them. You don’t need to put up a legendary for trade or anything, just soemthing a bit more hard to find. I think i traded a Ditto? I’m not sure. Whatever.

To both “jakeyboy” and “elecctiviere”:
Again, you both have very strong teams, and level 100 pokemon are good, but the types you use are unbalanced.
“jakeyboy,” on your team, you have Mew, a psychic-type pokemon, Celebi, another which i am fairly certain is another psychic pokemon, with a dark-type and water-dragon-type and fire-flying-type thrown in. With ONE of each only nessecary, i prefer to have 1 psychic, 1 dark, and one fighting type, which you do not have at all. Like a game of rock-paper-scissors, psychic beats fighting, fighting beats dark, and dark beats pschic, therefor they balance. If you want to keep Charazard on your team, either get one grass-type and one water type (Palkia would fill this space) or take Palkia off the team and get one flying-type and one electric-type. Whatever you do, you only need one of a type of pokmon on your team.
“elecctiviere,” i dont even know where to START with your team. It’s good that they’re all level 100, but…You have THREE fire-types on your team!!! The Paklia is a start because it’s water-type, but the Regigas is just kinda randomly thrown in there. You need to COMPLETELY rethink your team. For ideas, read the above section i wrote to “jakeyboy.”
ps–as for where to get a Lickitung–go to Lucas’s little sister in Sandgem town regularly; that’s how i got mine. If you just never find one, ask; i can put one up for trade if you’d like.

Sorry, but i’m not sure that you can catch a kirlia in Diamond and Pearl. Are you aware that kirlia is the evolved form? It would be easier to try to catch or trade a ralts, the original evolution, and evolve it yourself. As for how to get a ralts, you can…
1. migrate one from another, earlier game version
2. trade for one
3. if you have beaten the elite four and become a master, you can go to Sandgem Town, save the game there, and talk to a little girl inside one of the houses. She tells you where a new pokemon that usually isnt available can be found, a different one every day. If you continue going to her for long enough, perhaps she will tell you where to find a ralts or kirlia.

Find it and catch one. then go to the mansion on route 212 and talk to the owner. say “yes” to everything he asks. then go out in the trophy garden, that kind of pokemon he mentioned will be there. You can use this every day. They might occaisonally tell you the location of a pokemon you already have. Sorry, but you’ll have to wait till the next day if they do.

i do to get the electrizer u need to beat the game then if you have pokemon fire red in the gba cartradeg search around vally wind works for elecids you can use thief and steall the electrizere or cathch them and find out if they do thsame thing gos for the magmizer but you need leaf green and you need to sreach for magbys holding the magmizer. hope this helps

To anyone trying to get Togepi: To get togepi fly to fight area surf west to an island and use the poke radar, look for the shining patches of grass it could b a togepi and if its not keep trying you’ll find it eventually.
I forgot to mention you have to go to mystery gift and choose connect via wifi or something like that. (Only thing is you have to be the pokemon champ to get it,) Then when you get a signal you’ll get the items.
Hey, i just realize you can get the event pokemon without connecting to nitendo wifi. Ok first thing you need to do is get the mystery gift. You get it when you go to Jubilife City 3rd floor, of the tv station thing, anyway talk to the guy with the girl he’ll interview you. Reply to him(everyone happy) For the first one then the next one reply (wifi connection) and you’ll get the mystery gift. After that just go to a hotspot place and you’ll obtain the items need to get the event pokemon.

Blah blah blah, free the trio, then go to the peak, yeah yeah Dialga…then you’re at Sunyshore. Flint comes, says Volkner is bored, go to the lighthouse and meet Volkner I believe, and he’ll go to his gym more energized then finish the gear puzzle in his gym. The only puzzle challenge is in the third room, which here’s a hint, you use the first gear button twice, once to get to somewhere, and twice to get to Volkner.

To Anyone asking about the evoultion of Burmy. Burmy can evolve eiher into a mothim or a wormadam it all depends on its gender. They both evolve at level 20, but they evolve if they have a different type of gender. To get wormadam raise a girl Burmy to level 20.To get a Mothim raise a boy Burmy to level 20.

To anybody: to get gible a dragon-ground type go to wayward cave underneath the bridge.
To Neon: You don’t get Lucario at Iron island you get its pre-evovle form Riolu, it evolves to Lucario only when you friendship level is high.
To Shorty: After you beat the Elite four and completed the Shinnoh pokedex go to sandgem town were proffesor Rowan is at. After that you’ll have a little unexpected visit from the proffesor in Kanto region he’ll give you the national pokedex after that go to Route 221 all the way at the back. You’ll meet Proffesor Oak there and after you talk to him he’ll head to Eterna city. Only then can you insert your GBA game into the ds and only then after the tittle you’ll see migrate from- whatever GBA pokemon game you inserted.( You can only migrate from you p.c box not your party pokemon) THen go to Pal park again and talk to the guy near the door and you can go catch your migrated pokemon.Hope this helps :).

This is to shorty, after you get the national dex you go to pal park then they will ask you to perform a show. after they ask you save your game. then shut your NDS off. then turn it back on and right under new game it will say migrate from either leaf green, fire red, sapphire, emerald, or ruby.

Hey, this trick is pretty awesome you know ditto right? Its a pokemoin that only knows one move transform. It may be, but its an excellent way to breed pokemon such as vespiquen, or your starter pokemon. I hope this helps:)

To Vespiquen219: to get them to move go to stark mountain and battle trainers along the way. You’ll find your rival and a unexpected person there near the rest room near stark mountain. Follow your rival and find Buck and then follow them inside stark mountain. Then you can go back and they will be gone. Also go to the umm i think fight area and you’ll find Buick their go back up the mountain and you’ll find a rare pokemon, Heatran!- its a fire-iron pokemon
To taytay1010: Its pretty easy to get a rotom. Ok first you have to do is beat the elite four once you’ve done that go to eterna forest, also you need a pokemon with the tm cut to get to the old chateu. So don’t go in just yet talk to the Gardenia whose by the old chateu {in front of it} she’ll tell you about a pokemon. After that go into the old chateu go to the place were there is a t.v press the a button and it will ask you if you want to thump the t.v if you choose yes get ready for a battle with Rotom!
p.s rotom is a electic-ghost type.
Hey, i found out that you can breed any pokemon faster. All you need to do is keep the egg that you’ve recieve first in your party and then add a pokemon with magma armor in your party. Keeping the pokemon egg first in your party allows it to hatch a little bit faster and magma armor allows your egg to hatch faster as long as the pokemon with this ability is in the party.
I think Piplup is the WORST starter in the game. Once it evolves into a Empoleon, It is weak to infernape and torterra. infernape can just use mach punch and kill empoleon in 1hit!

an action replay is a little thingy that has a lot of cheats on it, i don’t really know how to describe it but you can get one from wal-mart for like $20 and they are really great, you can get as many of ANY item you want, and you can find cheats for pokemon like arceus and darkrai(those are only 2 of the many) online, and i also think chimchar is the best starter pokemon, because his last stage is fire/fighting, which is really good later on in the pokemon leauge

to later127: you can get heatran after u go to stark mountain with Buck, after he leaves go down the mountain to a house near the pokemon center and you’ll find Buck there. He will go out and say that he will return(magma orb) but doesn’t go back to stark mountain and instead of the magma stone you’ll find heatran lvl 70.

No there is no wisdom lake, but there is a hidden lake called Spring Path which is where Giratina and the strongest pokemon(but not rare) you can find on the mainland live
Unfortunatly i dion’t remember how to unlock it but i think all you have to do is beat the pokemon leauge and if it still doesn’t show up then get the national dex and then it should show up next to Valor Lakefront on route 214 to the right it will just be a big square(giratina is in a huge cave in Spring Path, it is ghost and dragon type)

I don’t like piplup not insulting but chimchar and turtwig are better I can’t beat the second gym with him. Also to get some more slack on a pokeball say gottcha or when it turns yellow press A. To me it turns to a mater ball. It did not miss a catch. but it may.

I started out with a PIPLUP and my EMPOLEON is now lv.82(no joke) I’d recommend PIPLUP to those who like mixed attacks because PIPLUP can learn an array of different moves. I also have a lv.70 GIRATINA lv.70 HEATRAN lv.56 DIALGA lv.50 AZELF lv.50 UXIE and a lv.50 CRESSELIA. I ROCK!!!!!

to get REGIGIGAS you have to have all regies (that you migrated from ruby, sapphire or emrald). After you beat the elite four go to snowpoint city and go north.go past the gaurd and into the temple.(must have all regies with you,regice, registeel,and regirock) at the bottom of the temple is regigigas! press the A botton and he will awaken from his slumber.

to get to sunnyshore city first you must have 7 badges then you must catch or defeat the legendary Dialga/ Palkia in Mt. Coronet. You must also have battled team Galactic and their leader Cyrus inside their headquaters in Veilstone City Go west from Hearthrome City until you arrive at an entrance of Mt. Coronet. You must battle the Team Galactic until you arrive at Dialga.
To go to sunyshore city you gotta battle Dialga or Palkia. You can catch them if you have a masterball.To get a masterball you gotta beat the Team Galatic boss.

Hey diamond5505 you need to buy a game shark, im not sure if they have it anymore , but they are handy when you want to get multiple items, such as, rare candys, also masterballs.
Start off with a well balance kind of team like ash does, combine different types of pokemon to get a powerful combintaion, espically when fighting the gym leaders, they only use one type of pokemon each gym either they use rock, water, or ice types whatever. Just remember to raise different types of pokemon because its not good to rely on one pokemon when fighting stronger oppenents.
Everyone should start their journey off with the fire pokemon. It is much eaiser to progress through the game. IF ur stuck on the first gym, don’t freak out lvl up chimchar to lvl 14, then it’ll learn how to use mach punch, don’t evolve it yet. At lvl 39 chimchar learns a good move, slack off, this move allows it to regain health without buying items such as hyper potion. IT won’t recover much, but its good to not waste ur money if u plan on catching legendary pokemon.

A well blanced team is a great way to beat a leader and the 4. I have a lv.70 Chimchar a lv.99 Evee a Lv.72.Merspit a lv.78 prinplup. I got most of my strong pokemon by trading and using the daycare. well heres a tip for fast leveling. if you are quite lazy like myself and dont feel like battline a bagillion pokemon to level up your guys, give your weak ones to the poke breeder person and jus fly to cycling road and go up and down a bunch of times. every step earns you 1 exp, so i jus not leveled my lucario (42 – 44) and gabite (39 – 41) in about 10 mins. jus be sure that you learn all ur moves fer a while so nothin gets deleted on accident.

The Galactic boss, Cyrus, is found in Veilstone City. Beat the seventh gym and head west to the lake. After dealing with the Galactic members, return to Veilstone and talk to the guy checking the radar in front of the big Galactic building. He leaves a key, so pick it up and head over to the other building. Use the key to open the gate inside and go in. Eventually you find Cyrus.

To get the weather balloon pokemon go to the valley windworks on friday.It will be level 22. It is a ghost and flying type
To catch the legendary Cresselia you go to the sailors house in canalave and talk to the mom then the boy who is in the bed then to the sailor.He will tell you to get a lunar wing and take you to a weird island. Walk around and there will be a small opening to walk through. Go throgh it and cresselia will be there and it will run away leaving the lunar feather.You have to chase after it like Mesprit but it is usually between Floaroma town and the valley windworks

me say that you should get a pokemon ranger gamr so you can get manaphy.
My team is based on 3 pokemon, Infernape (George), Lucario ( Luke) and Palkia. They are all at about lvl. 60 and George is at lvl. 70 but I cannot beat the Champion’s dragon-thingy, It can take half of Luke’s health and anniahlate Palkia in 2 turns (by the time i get that far, George is already dead and I never bring enough revives)
A good tip for starters, when you get to Eterna, talk to the underground man to get your gear, then finish his missions. Dig underground till you find a fossil for your game(Diamond:Skull fossil, Pearl:Armor fossil)and revive it at the mining museum in Oreburge. Then, trade it online for one of the two starters you missed. I don’t have any advice for battling, since everyone finds a way that works.
dialga and palkia are really easy to catch! dialga especially! and the 2nd best pokemon game was red, blue, yelow, not dungeon
To catch spiritomb:
1 meet 32 friends underground-they must be actual people linking with u- i know it stinks but u can get around it.just get a friend with d/p, then one one of u start over 32 times and meet over and over. to even the deal,get an egg from sed spiritomb, and trade that 2 the other person
2 get the old keystone from 1 of the black-belts on route 208
3 go 2 the wierd rock formation in the right hand-bottom corner of route 209 bring ultra balls
4 click A next 2 it and battle spiritomb1
5 I SWEAR THIS WORKS!
when you are catching the mirage pokemon make sure you have some timerballs, and some quick balls real helped to catch them.
for those who have not beat the elite 4 i definitly recemend(i spelled it wrong) having empoleon as ur starter.

It is best NOT to use your master ball on dialga or palkia! I have learned from a reliable source that Dialga/Palkia is 6 TIMES EASIER TO CATCH than Groudon/Kyogre from ruby and sapphire. Catch a Sneasel outside of Snowpoint City, then get the TM for False Swipe from the Veilstone Department store and teach it to him. If you have Pearl, use Net Balls–since Palkia is part water type, they will do very well on him. When I caught Palkia, I had my Torterra use Earthquake twice and then had Sneasel use False Swipe and chucked Net Balls till I caught it. Keep these tips in mind!

You don’t have to have really high level pokemon to beat the pokemon league, I beat it with all six of my pokemon under Lv. 55 and just bought a lot of revives and full restores.

1.Leaf Storm (For those really tough water types)
2.Eathquake (Since your rival has Infernape, this will take it out in a few hits, this is also good for the fire elite four.)
3.Crunch (For those psychic and ghost pokemon)
4.Razor Leaf (For the weak and semi strong water types)

When you receve the master ball from Cyrisis in Mnt. Coronet, DO NOT USE IT, its a wast of a good Master ball. All you need to do is stock up on Ultra ball and Timer Balls (25-40 each) and you should be fine. save your master ball for a travling pokemon such as Mispirit(or the one you can get from Full Moon Island). Once again DO NOT USE A MASTER BALL ON PALKIA/DIALGA.

First, when you begen your game get the best pokemon piplup. He rocks! He knows the best moves againest your opponet. Later when you get to the elite four make sure your empoleon {piplups final evovle} is about level 70, because the elite four are pretty hard. so pick piplup for your starter.
After you recieve the national dex, place your old gameboy advanced based pokemon games into the DS’s slot for gameboy advance games to unlock old pokemon in Diamond and Pearl. WARNING: the old pokemon’s locations will not show up in the pokedex so you will have to hunt around for them.
If you do include a status attack in your arsenal, make sure that it either boasts that state sharply (like swords dance), it raises two states at once (comic power), or it will boast all of your other attacks (like howl with stomp, rockthrow, and iron tail).
if u choose a Chimchar to start with, and u cant beat the first gym, u can either:
evolve your Chimchar into the fire-fighting Monferno at level 14 & teach it mach punch
OR
catch a machoke.
I evolved my Chimchar, but u can do it either way.

Gyrados is a water/flying type, not fire. Chimchar is a great starter, and my choice. Makes the first gym hard but the rest of the way is easier. I’d say the best thing is trading on the WiFi to get Pokemon from people everywhere. I’ve got 3 manaphy’s now! Get two or three pokie’s to be your HM work horses because the only good HM move for battles is Surf so don’t use HM’s on your main team! Gastrodon learns Surf, Waterfall, Strength, and Rock Smash, which is great for Victory Road! A flying type that can learn Fly, Defog, and another pokie that can learn Rock Climb, Cut, and Flash will help.

If you need a kcik bute team, you are going to need all sorts of things. One thing you would problly want would be some pokemon with a one hit ko move, I use stuff like that all the time, and it gets trainers really angry, lol. Another thing you will want would be a lot of different pokemon like fire, water, grass, and my most favorit in the world, DRAGON!! But it also depends on what kind of a trainer your are, for example I like to have as many dragons in my team as possibal, the only down fall is that if your opponint has an ice type pokemon, your problly gona die. well I hope that some of you out there will take some of my advise. They way i riase is by giving one of my pokemon an exp. share and just battle with my starter. switch the pokemon with the exp. share so you can making growing levels easy.

Your so rite you should have the same range of pokemon,but it is good to have a low lvl traveling type pokemon by your side,that way u can make a plan before u start your main attacks with your pokemon.You should choose Chimchar because he will eventually learn Mach Punch.He an also learn a well known move called Flamethrower which is very efective against ice and sometimes also water.Im also pleased to say that i have a couple good tips.The first tip is :when u get the honey try to get alot and put it over trees in the same area sometimes you get the same and sometimes you will get very rare pokemon.Also if your a little weaker then our other pokefans try to avoid the two trainer in the first gym.
Like Fridgey said, you need to keep your Pokemon at a good average level. My Pokemon are all at L25 right now. The way I order my Pokemon depends on their experience. The Pokemon with the most exp is the last Pokemon in my menu. The Pokemon with the lowest exp goes to the front of the Pokemon menu. I thank you for listening to me! Bye

I love the new Pokemon. My favorite Pokemon are : Dialga, Palkia, Uxie, Azelf, Mesprit, Puplip, Turtwig, and Chimchar.
Here’s a tip:
When catching a legendary or rare Pokemon, do not always use your masterball. You can only get one in the entire game. Keep throwing any pokeball until you catch it. I caught Dialga with an ultraball, Giratina (Another legendary) with a timerball, and never forget—- You can never have too many Pokeballs.
i suggest if you get pearl that you use chimchar as a starting pokemon because there arnt many other fire-types in the game.also make sure you carry around strong electric types also
I do not quite agree to the fire, water, ground, electric structure as the only good balanced team. There are lots of different ways to do it, for example bringing in strong attackers mixed with strong defenders and you don’t care about types. Type is not everything!
P.S. People who swear by Alakazam? That would be me! Alakazam is my favorite pokemon in the whole wide world of Pokemon!

For an easy boost to getting the first badge, chose Piplup or Turtwig. If you do this, you’ll have the Coal Badge in the first 1 or 2 battles!

I think that it is a great idea to have a well-balanced team of pokemon, and to try and include as many decent types as possible. Also, knowledge of special and physical moves is a great help for the champion and elite four. Moves like bulk up and calm mind are a great help, too, because they raise two stats at one time.
ok, then to get the national-dex (it’s a new better version of the orginal pokedex) make sure you have encounterd every pokemon on the game (there’s 150 i think) and then go and see the Proffesor, at Sandgem town, and once you talk a chatty conversation will comense, and Prof, Oak for Kanto will walk in and give you the National-dex as a reward, And here’s another little treat once you havr the new Dex the Pal-Park will become available, this is where you can import pokemon from your GBA games and use them on Diamond/Pearl. Make sure that you own a well balanced poke team. it is essential for a trainer to know the characteristics of their pokemon, as well as knowing type advantages and disadvantages. my special advive is to :
keep all of your pokemon at a reasonably equal level ( dont have one pokemon at L40 and another at L20)
to keep the opposition way behind you in your journey
never include status attacks in your arsenal, unless they heal your own pokemon (eg-recover, slack off)
