The first movie appeared just a few years before the first issue of Boys’ Life. Since then, there have been a lot of great ones. Here are 100 movies that every kid should see. (Some suggestions will require parental guidance.)

  9. i’ve seen 22 by the way,anyone who hasn’t seen them should see rocky and The Neverending Story,they ROCK! [the affects ARE cheesy though,in the neverending story,but it WAS made in the 1980’s]

  12. Props to Boys Life for including Mulan on this list – one of the best Disney films, and cenrtainly the best of the “princess” movies – Mulan is a fantastic role model for girls and boys – all kids should watch it.
    Another great film missing from this list – the original Bad News Bears, which a lot of people dismiss because of the mid-1970’s un-pc behavior of the characters, but is still probably the best sports film ever made.

      Yep

      Mulan is also mentioned as one of the most successful princesses monogrammed on a blanket along with the rest of the Disney Princesses (Cinderella, Jasmine, Tiana, etc)

  13. I want to see Star Wars but my mom won’t let me watch it. I’m not sure but i think there making another Star Wars and I’m determined to see it.

    71. I agree about Tron (it was the reason I got hooked on computers…). The Hunt for Red October would have been good too.

  43. I wonder how this list was comprised. I would disagree with some of the choices. I would question why Tron, The Last Starfighter and Star Trek 2: Wrath of Khan did not make the list.
