WHAT IS MORSE CODE?
Morse code is a method of communicating with a series of sounds or lights that can be understood only by someone who knows the code.
Each Morse code symbol represents either a letter or number and is represented by a unique sequence of dots and dashes. The duration of a dash is three times the duration of a dot.
Samuel F.B. Morse invented a code that was used to send messages over electric telegraphs in the 1830s. The SOS distress signal — three dots, three dashes, three dots — proved to be a simple way to communicate in an emergency.
With the invention of the telephone (and, later, two-way radios and cellphones), Morse code is nowadays used mostly just for fun by amateur radio operators. Certain amateur radio bands are still reserved for Morse code use.
HOW CAN I LEARN MORSE CODE?
Learning morse code can be a fun and rewarding experience. It may seem daunting at first, but with practice, anyone can learn to interpret and transmit Morse code messages.
One of the best ways to start learning morse code is to use an online morse code translator like the one on this page. These tools give you the chance to practice and test your abilities.
A chart like this one can also help you learn morse code by visualizing the dots and dashes on the letters of the alphabet:
A great way to practice is by listening to morse code transmissions on the radio. Many amateur radio operators still use morse code, and you can tune in to their transmissions and try to interpret the messages. You can also join a morse code club or group to practice with other enthusiasts.
Learning morse code may seem like an outdated skill, but it can be a fun and rewarding hobby. It can also be useful in emergency situations when other forms of communication are unavailable. With a bit of practice and dedication, anyone can become proficient in morse code and enjoy the thrill of transmitting and receiving messages in this classic code.
i’m an old radio operator how i can work in morse code on line

I love it

This so amazing
this is fun
I love Morse code! I know my name EXACTLY!!!
nice
IT IS EASY
great starting point and after one learns the letters then you can go onto faster programs, thank you for all your work.
Far too slow and clunky. Should just be a stream of code and type the letters as you hear them.
BORING!!! -_- i HATE this!!!!!!
very fun morris coding
Agree!
This game is fun very fun

This game is so boring
This site is so cool
I love this site
This would be a nicer program if it also transmitted random letters and numbers so we could practice writing them down as we hear them.
Can I have one of this ?
how do u play it?
do you have a download for off line practice?
Enjoyed learning the alphabet, but when I tried to work with the button to transmit, it would glitch on me and I got all the letters wrong XD
Who r u and what do u do????!!!!!😋

If I use Mores code and take it into real life
I’ve memorized the alphabet and all the grammer signs and numbers. But all i need to do is practice…
I’m using this tool as an aid to gaining my foundation amateur radio licence, finding it very useful, only 3 days into re-learning the code and am managing to get quite a lot of the letters right in a row.
AS A REGISTERED PARTLY DEAF PERSON, I HAVE FOUND IT DIFFICULT TO PICK UP THE DI’S AND DAH’S FROM OTHER TRAINING COURSES BUT THIS MACHINE IS GREAT FOR ME AS I COULD PLAY THE CHARACTER’S OVER AND OVER AS MANY TIMES AS I NEEDED UNTILL I GOT IT RIGHT,
Suggestion for faster learning:
Allow response-interaction by pressing the key on the keyboard that corresponds to the Morse letter, instead of having to use the mouse to click the letter, then move on, which slows down the process.
Otherwise, good work.
Amazing tool for learning morse actually. I’ve been here the last two hours and I think I know every letter now…
I LOVE morse code

This is a great tool for learning Morse Code. I listened to Morse Code for almost 8 hours a day, for a month while looking at a old type writer keyboard and learning to type as I heard the code. I did this about 50 years ago while becoming a Radioman in the Navy!
I still look at signs and read them in Morse or other items and read them in Morse. It is great.
I knew this would happen
Great learning tool. A speed control and a way to silence the bell would be nice but the tool is great!
At 86 this has helped me return to sending Morse code again
How do you access it??? I just keep getting this comments section.
Me to, I used it before but… I don’t know what happened
This is a great tool ! thanks
Fine but speed control would have been better for learners, do you think of improvement here ?
Why can’t I get the codemachine on my I PDair 2?
GLAD I FOUND THIS SITE !!
