Stuff We Like: Teva Universal Sandal
Way back when, your Gear Guy was a whitewater raft guide, and these were the very same sandals I wore at work every day. The Teva Original Universal Sandal ($40, teva.com) was designed 30 years ago but has now been rereleased. We dig them because they are basic, simple and comfortable. Just a sturdy, grippy sole attached to your feet with adjustable nylon webbing and Velcro straps.
Tevas are good for lots of outdoor adventures and for wearing at camp after a long day on the trail. They also make a similar model for smaller kids’ feet called the Hurricane 2 ($34). Sometimes the best new stuff isn’t actually new at all!
